This Privacy Policy explains how Kaizen ("we," "us," "our") collects, uses, and protects your personal data when you visit this website, register your interest in, or purchase Dealing With Past Baggage (the "Course").
Who we are
Kaizen, Beckenham, London, BR3, is the data controller for the personal data we collect from you.
Contact: contact@kaizen-hq.org
What we collect
- Contact details (name, email address) when you register your interest, enrol, join our mailing list, or contact us
- Payment information, processed securely by our payment provider, Stripe, via our checkout and course-hosting platform Systeme.io — we do not store your card details
- Course activity data (progress, session bookings) needed to deliver the course
- Technical data (such as IP address, browser type, and essential cookie data) collected when you visit the site — see our Cookie Policy for full detail
Why we collect it
- To deliver the course and any 1-1 sessions you've purchased
- To process payment and issue refunds where applicable
- To send you course access details and essential service communications
- To contact you about the Course launch or send other marketing communications, only where you've opted in — you can withdraw consent or unsubscribe at any time
- To improve the website and course experience
Legal basis
We process your data under UK GDPR on the basis of contract (to deliver what you've purchased), consent (launch updates and marketing), legal obligation (including tax and accounting records), and legitimate interests (site security, fraud prevention, and proportionate service improvement). Where we rely on legitimate interests, we balance those interests against your rights and freedoms.
Who we share it with
- Our checkout and course-hosting platform (Systeme.io)
- Our payment processor (Stripe), necessary to complete your purchase
- Email/communication tools used to deliver course access and updates
These providers process personal data on our behalf under contractual terms. We may also disclose information where required by law or to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.
We do not sell your personal data.
International data transfers
Some service providers may process personal data outside the UK. Where this happens, we use a lawful transfer mechanism, such as UK adequacy regulations or approved contractual safeguards. Current provider locations and safeguards must be confirmed against the contracts in force before this policy is published.
Cookies
This site uses essential cookies where needed to operate securely. We will not place non-essential analytics or advertising cookies unless you have made a clear choice through a consent mechanism. See our Cookie Policy for details.
How long we keep it
We keep launch-registration and marketing details until you withdraw consent, unsubscribe, or the list is no longer used, subject to a periodic review. Course and account data is retained while your lifetime access remains active. Transaction and accounting records are generally retained for six years after the relevant financial year unless a longer period is legally required. Support records are retained only as long as reasonably needed for the enquiry or a related legal claim. We then delete or anonymise the information securely.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you may have rights to access, correct, erase, restrict, or receive a portable copy of your data, and to object to certain processing. Where processing is based on consent, you can withdraw that consent at any time without affecting earlier lawful processing. These rights are subject to legal exceptions.
Contact contact@kaizen-hq.org to exercise your rights. We may need to verify your identity and normally respond within one month. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk, although we'd welcome the opportunity to address your concern first.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
